🔴 CRITICAL: 60% Surge in Pollution Incidents

EA Pollution Report reveals severe deterioration: - 75 serious incidents in 2024 (up from 47 in 2023) - Total incidents: 2,801 (up 29%) - Thames Water: 33 incidents alone - Rising mains caused 20% of serious incidents

Self-Reporting Failures:

  • Only 63% of serious incidents self-reported
  • Only 36% of Category 1 incidents self-reported

Impact on A M Water Services: Intensified scrutiny of all environmental compliance

Annual Fatality Statistics Released

HSE data for 2024/25: - 124 worker deaths (down from 138) - Construction: 35 deaths (28% of total) - Falls from height: Leading cause
