This section provides an overview of training requirements, competence management, and staff development at A M Water Services.
Training Framework¶
A M Water Services maintains a comprehensive training framework to ensure all personnel have the competence required to perform their roles safely and effectively. This includes:
- Induction Training - All new starters complete a structured induction programme
- Statutory Training - Mandatory training required by law and industry standards
- Role-Specific Training - Training tailored to specific job functions
- Continuing Professional Development - Ongoing skills development and refresher training

Induction Process¶
New employee induction follows the Induction Process Procedure (IPP001) which covers:
- Company introduction and values
- Health and safety orientation
- Environmental awareness
- Quality requirements
- Role-specific training needs
- Equipment and PPE familiarisation
Recruitment¶
The Recruitment Procedure (RP001) ensures:
- Competency requirements are defined for each role
- Candidates are assessed against requirements
- Qualifications are verified before appointment
- Training gaps are identified and addressed
