This section provides an overview of OHS risk assessments maintained by A M Water Services.

Overview¶

A M Water Services maintains comprehensive risk assessments covering all workplace activities. These assessments identify hazards, evaluate risks, and specify control measures to protect employees and others who may be affected by our operations.

Risk is calculated using: Severity x Likelihood = Risk Rating

Risk Ratings¶

Rating	Score Range	Action Required
Low	1-5	Monitor and maintain controls
Medium	6-11	Implement additional controls, regular review
High	12-16	Immediate action required, senior management attention

The assessments themselves¶

The 18 home and office risk assessments are listed once, on the Risk Assessments index, and indexed in APP_08 OHS Hazard Assessments. They are not repeated here, so there is one list to keep current.

Control Hierarchy¶

All risk assessments apply the hierarchy of controls:

Elimination - Remove the hazard entirely
Substitution - Replace with something less hazardous
Engineering Controls - Physical measures to reduce risk
Administrative Controls - Procedures, training, signage
Personal Protective Equipment - Last resort protection

Review Schedule¶

Risk assessments are reviewed:

Annually as a minimum
Following incidents or near misses
When work activities change
When new hazards are identified
When control measures are found inadequate
