Achilles UVDB Verify B2 — Audit Readiness

Framework for the upcoming Achilles UVDB Verify Category B2 audit. This section maps every Achilles B2 evidence requirement directly to the AMWS IMS documentation, records Leanne's "on-the-day" checklist, and tracks gap-closure actions.

For the auditor

The 14 category pages below map each B2 question to the specific controlled document that holds the evidence. All controlled documents live on this IMS site; field-operative content (method statements, field RAs, acknowledgement) lives on the parallel Van Packs site.

On-the-day playbook (Leanne)

Before the auditor arrives

  1. Open the B2 Evidence Pack — have it on a second screen if possible.
  2. Have this IMS site open on your main screen. The 14 category pages below are your quick-lookup index.
  3. Print a copy of the Gap Closure List — flag any items that are still outstanding so you're not surprised.
  4. Pre-open the most common asks: ISO certificates, Legal Register (APP_10), Risk Register (APP_05), COSHH Register (APP_09), Training Matrix (APP_12).
  5. Have the Van Packs site open in another tab for field-evidence asks (PPE register, site RAMS, van checks).

When the auditor asks a question

  1. Note the B2 question number (e.g. 1.7.5).
  2. Open the matching category page below (e.g. Section 7 — Workplace Safety).
  3. The page lists what Achilles expects; the status column tells you if we have it; the link opens the actual document on the IMS site.
  4. If it's Ready: share the link on screen, or click through to show the page.
  5. If it's Gap: reference the gap-closure list and explain the planned action with owner and target date. Auditors respond well to an honest, documented plan.

If in doubt

  • Call Sean — HSQE support phone on the contact card.
  • Honesty beats fluff. A clear "not in place yet, planned for X with Y as owner" is better than a bluff.

What Achilles will audit

Achilles UVDB Verify Category B2 is the supplier pre-qualification audit used across the UK water / utilities sector. It spans 14 subject areas with ~40 evidence questions, covering:

  • ISO management-system conformance
  • Quality, business continuity, employment practice, competence
  • Working hours, workplace safety, occupational health, site security
  • Environmental & carbon management
  • Supply-chain management, sourcing, equipment management

The audit has a management-system element (reviewed at the office / HQ) and a site element (evidence the auditor expects to see at a working site). The guidance flags site-expected evidence in bold — those are the ones Leanne and Jason need ready for a site visit.
